Shashidhar Nanjundaiah receives 2024 Leadership Award from PRSI

The Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) has conferred its Leadership Award for 2024 on Shashidhar Nanjundaiah, Professor and Dean of the School of Digital Media and Communication at Mahindra University in Hyderabad.

“He has been selected for the award for his work in propagating higher education in media, communication, and allied areas like public relations. Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma gave away the award at the PRSI’s 46th All India Public Relations Conference held at Raipur recently,” a press release said.

“His work in higher media education and balancing the interests and aspirations of media education and the profession makes him special,” Ajit Pathak, Chairman of PRSI and a board member of the International Public Relations Association, said.

Before his stint at Mahindra University, Nanjundaiah led and started a few private institutes of media and communication, including Symbiosis Institute of Mass Communication (Pune).

The 68-year-old society has a network of 23 active chapters in the country.
